Privacy policy
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party. Fonts are served from this domain. The only personal data we hold is what you send us yourself.

The contact form
When you send the form we receive the name, email address, optional company, subject and message you entered. We use them for one purpose: to answer you. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract — and, where your enquiry is not contractual, our legitimate interest in replying under Art. 6(1)(f).
The enquiry is emailed to us and also written to a log file on the same server, so that a silent mail failure cannot lose it. Both copies are deleted after twelve months if the enquiry does not become a project. If it does, it becomes part of the project file and follows the retention rules for business correspondence.
The form stores no cookie. Its spam protection works from a signed timestamp and a salted hash of the first three octets of your IP address together with your browser's user-agent string. That hash cannot be reversed into an address and is deleted within 24 hours.
Server log files
The web server records each request with the IP address, timestamp, requested path, referrer and user-agent. This is necessary to operate and secure the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are rotated and deleted after seven days. They are not combined with any other data.
What we do not do
No cookies. No analytics, no pixels, no tag manager. No fonts, scripts or images from another domain. No advertising network. No profiling and no automated decision-making.
Hosting
The site is hosted in Germany on infrastructure operated on our behalf. A data-processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Your rights
You may request access to your data (Art. 15), correction (Art. 16), deletion (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Write to info@redorbit.de and we will act on it.
You may also complain to a supervisory authority. The one responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.

Our Chrome extension is covered by its own privacy policy, because it behaves differently from this website.
